HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
First, Amy and I want to send you our best wishes for a blessed holiday and all of His grace in the New Year. This is such a great time of year to reflect on the last year and all the blessings that came with it. We feel so privileged to have strengthened old and establish new friendships with all of you during this last very challenging but rewarding year.
UPDATE
Things have been very busy. Thankfully, Amy and I were able to take a long overdue break from all the activity last week with a brief vacation in the sun.
I've been spending a great deal of time on my new and coming legislative responsibilities. I don't think it matters much to people that I'm not even "official" yet, but I'm enjoying it nevertheless. Piles of mail come in every week and I'm knee deep in preparing the legislation I will introduce in the coming session. I'm also taking every opportunity to hear what is on the minds of and what concerns those I will soon have the honor to represent in the General Assembly, so I'm often on the go to one event or another.
SWEARING-IN
I will be sworn-in on Wednesday, January 14th at noon in Richmond, with a reception to follow. This incredible event will be as much yours as it is mine, as it would not have been possible without the encouragement, support, and prayers from so many of you. So, if you're interesting in coming, we want you there. IMPORTANT: If you want to come, email me immediately at jeff@votejeff.com and mark your calendar. We have to get tickets for everyone that wishes to come, so we need to make that request as soon as possible. More details will follow later.
I NEED YOUR HELP
We need to raise some money fast. Our campaign debt is significant and we can't accept any contributions during session, so it is important that we start session on 1/14 in the black. I'm counting on your assistance with this, so I very much hope you can make a contribution. Whatever you can do in this regard, I'd be grateful. Please visit http://votejeff.com/contribute.asp.
STAY IN TOUCH
Please do keep in touch and do let me know if there's anything I can do to be helpful. Otherwise, once again, have a wonderful set of holidays and I'll look forward to keeping you updated in the days, weeks, and months to come.
