National Federation of Independent Business Endorses Frederick

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Woodbridge, VA -- The Frederick campaign announced today that the National Federation of Independent Business endorsed Frederick’s candidacy to represent the 52nd district in the Virginia House of Delegates.

In a letter to Frederick, Gordon Dixon, NFIB Director for Virginia, wrote: “Virginia’s economy needs legislators who are fighting to ensure that small business has an opportunity to develop and thrive.”

According to the Small Business Administration, small businesses employ nearly half of Virginia’s employees. Small businesses create two-thirds of the new jobs in the United States. In Virginia, 97.7 percent of the businesses are small businesses. “There is no doubt that small business is the engine of Virginia’s economy—that’s why I am honored to have the support of the NFIB,” said Jeff Frederick.

Frederick’s position certainly stands in stark contrast to that of his opponent, who has pledged to raise taxes on small businesses—jeopardizing the job creation that small businesses produce. “There is no doubt that Charlie Taylor is a triple threat. First, he wants to tax services like day care, then he wants to tax the internet, and then he wants to increase taxes on small business. Charlie Taylor’s triple tax scheme would hurt hard working families all across Prince William County,” said Matt Robbins, Frederick’s campaign manager.

Jeff Frederick is a small business owner running for Delegate in the 52nd District. Frederick’s platform of better schools, less traffic and lower taxes has earned widespread grassroots, bipartisan support, and endorsements from local education leaders. The election will be held on November 4th.
