Void of real common sense solutions, Taylor goes negative on Frederick using doctored facts

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Woodbridge, VA -- In a desperate attempt to distract voters from his plan to establish taxes on services such as doctor visits, child care, and haircuts, Charlie Taylor has resorted to launching a "despicable and cowardly character assassination" on his opponent, Jeff Frederick, according to voters in the 52nd District.

"It is unfortunate that the Taylor campaign has nothing else to talk about in this campaign that it must resort to propagating misinformation about Jeff and his company," said Matt Robbins, campaign manager for Frederick.

Mr. Frederick was eager to speak out and address the allegations Taylor has made:

"Of the allegations made in Mr. Taylor's mail, he has continued his slash-and-burn tactics, and his lies. He tries to blanket his misinformation in credibility by citing newspapers and court cases, but anyone who takes the time to review these articles and documents would see that Taylor's characterizations are misleading at best, and from a personal standpoint, just plain disgusting."

Frederick continued: "Both myself personally and my company have denied all allegations. My company has in fact won multiple cases that have made it to trial and have settled others, and to this day we have never been defeated in a Court of law. The pending suit is in its very early stages, is highly disputed, and at the root is coming from a disgruntled former client who was ordered by a Virginia Court to pay our company thousands of dollars in past due fees."

Robbins added: "This former client of Jeff's seems to have decided to abuse the legal system and the fact that Jeff is running for office as retaliation (and leverage) to get relief from their loss to Jeff's company in state court. The fact that this lawsuit was filed four days before Jeff’s primary election and that documents were immediately handed over to Jeff’s then primary opponent speaks for itself. We look forward to this suit being dismissed, but that doesn't happen overnight, and is still sitting there as fodder for Taylor."

"Unfortunately America is now a place where anyone can be sued at anytime for anything by anyone. It is up to the process for justice to be done, and the fact that Taylor has resorted to these tactics tells more about his character than Jeff's," said Mario Lopez, spokesman for Frederick.

The Frederick campaign has made available a company statement regarding these cases. These can be viewed at http://gxs.net/Lawsuit_Statement.pdf.

"I'd ask that people please keep us in their prayers, and especially my wife, since my opponent has decided to abandon the issues and focus his money and resources on lying about me and the person that I am," Frederick concluded.
