Debates give Taylor chance to speak on the issues instead of hiding behind his paid Richmond operatives and their negative mailers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Woodbridge, VA -- On Thursday, Jeff Frederick challenged his opponent, Charlie Taylor, to a series of three debates. "The voters of the 52nd District deserve to hear from Charlie Taylor, not the Richmond operatives that are running his campaign," said Matt Robbins, Frederick’s campaign manager.

The Frederick campaign proposes that each debate take place at a local public school where Jeff has personally met with the principal. "I think Charlie Taylor should come to one of these schools and explain to the principal his outrageous accusation that Jeff 'doesn’t care' about public education," added Robbins.

"Jeff has met with the superintendent of schools and is meeting with every public school principal in the 52nd District so when he goes to Richmond he will know what tools to deliver back to the district," said Robbins.

The Frederick campaign also expects taxes to be a major issue in the debates. "Charlie Taylor refuses to sign a pledge to not raise taxes because he thinks that it would 'tie his hands as a legislator', but millions of working families in Virginia have their hands tied by the burden of high taxes. The fundamental question for Taylor is, does he believe that residents in the 52nd District are undertaxed or overtaxed?" said Frederick.

Jeff Frederick is a small business owner running for Delegate in the 52nd District. Frederick’s platform of better schools, less traffic and lower taxes has earned widespread grassroots, bipartisan support, and endorsements from local education leaders. The election will be held on November 4th.
