Woodbridge, VA -- The Jeff Frederick campaign for the Virginia’s House of Delegates was surprised and excited to receive a campaign contribution from an apparent Charlie Taylor supporter at a Frederick fundraiser on Monday night.

“Not only have we earned bipartisan endorsements, but we are now proud to have folks who work with Charlie Taylor’s staff contributing to our campaign. We are touched by their show of support,” said Matt Robbins, Frederick’s campaign manager.

The contribution came in the form of a personal check given at an event held in the home of a Frederick supporter last night in Virginia. Several eyewitnesses saw the woman, who wrote the check, speaking with Charlie Taylor’s senior campaign officials including Taylor campaign manager Matt Harrison just blocks from the fundraiser.

The woman proceeded to sign in, give Frederick her contribution, and then mingle with Frederick supporters at the event. After she proceeded to tell Frederick’s guests several conflicting stories of where she was from and why she was there, the Frederick campaign quietly let her know that she had been seen earlier with Charlie Taylor’s staff. Despite her misrepresentation, the Frederick Campaign, including both the host of the event and Frederick himself, told her she was welcome to stay, and offered her food and a drink. She declined and excused herself from the event.

“We even offered to return her check to her, but she declined and excused herself,” added Robbins. “First, the Taylor campaign resorted to lying, now they are spying,” said Robbins, with a laugh.

Jeff Frederick is a small business owner running for Delegate in the 52nd District. Frederick’s platform of better schools, less traffic and lower taxes has earned widespread grassroots, bipartisan support, and endorsements from local education leaders. The election will be held on November 4th.
