Latest in series of lies from the Taylor campaign

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Woodbridge, VA -- Matt Harrison, campaign manager for the Charlie Taylor for Delegate campaign, was quoted in an October 8, 2003 Potomac News article saying that the Charlie Taylor campaign filed a police report because of stolen campaign signs.

Jeff Frederick, Taylor’s opponent in the race for delegate in the 52nd District, actually did have campaign signs stolen and subsequently filed a report with local police.

When the police were contacted about the claims by the Taylor campaign it was discovered that they had filed no police report. A retraction in the Potomac News on October 10 confirmed that the Charlie Taylor campaign did indeed lie to the press.

"This is just one of the many lies that have come from the Taylor camp. It is apparent that Charlie Taylor and his staff will say or do whatever it takes to get elected," said Matt Robbins, Frederick’s campaign manager.

"Taylor has lied about Jeff Frederick’s position on education, taxes, traffic, and virtually everything else. Now, they’ve even resorted to lying about reporting crimes. When will Taylor and his staff stop the lies?" said Robbins.

Jeff Frederick is a small business owner running for Delegate in the 52nd District. Frederick’s platform of better schools, less traffic and lower taxes has earned widespread grassroots, bipartisan support, and endorsements from local education leaders. The election will be held on November 4th.
