Woodbridge, VA – To hear constituents’ transportation concerns, businessman and candidate for Delegate Jeff Frederick has launched a new website: www.traffic-solutions.org.
“I want people to e-mail me any and all of their suggestions, concerns, and frustrations about transportation, so I can hear what they have to say -- just like I do when I’m at their door” said Frederick.
Frederick plans to print out each e-mail and collect them in a binder to take with him to Richmond. “I will share the transportation concerns of the 52nd District with other lawmakers, VDOT officials and even the Governor,” added Frederick.
The website also contains useful transportation links and resources, as well as possible transportation solutions, including Jeff Frederick’s Five Point Plan to reduce congestion without raising taxes:
- Streamline VDOT to guarantee that transportation dollars go to transportation, not bureaucracy.
- No new development without infrastructure.
- Work with the federal government to promote telecommuting and satellite offices for federal employees eliminating thousands of cars from our highways each day.
- Support public/private partnerships to fund our road projects and give tax incentives to local companies who offer telecommuting and other plans to their employees to encourage them to work from home.
- Transportation dollars should go to transportation. Jeff will oppose raiding the transportation trust fund (which was done in 2002) to balance the budget and pay for non-transportation related expenses.
Jeff Frederick will also work to ensure that Northern Virginia gets back more of its fair share of the transportation dollars it sends to Richmond.
Frederick is a small businessman running for Delegate in the 52nd District on a platform of better schools, less traffic and lower taxes. The election will be held on November 4th.
