Campaign for House of Delegates nomination builds momentum

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Woodbridge, VA (April 17, 2003) — Jeff Frederick, candidate for House of Delegates in the 52nd district, was honored this week by a national seniors’ organization during a campaign event held at the Potomac Place Retirement Community.

The program kicked off with recognition from Jim Martin, President of the 60 Plus Association, a national non-partisan senior citizens group with nearly half a million supporters.

“I am pleased to present an Honorary Guardian of Seniors’ Rights Award to Jeff Frederick,” announced Martin. “He will fight for a prescription drug benefit for seniors. Most importantly, he will work tirelessly to lower your tax burden. Prince William County seniors will have no finer friend in the Virginia House of Delegates than Jeff Frederick.”

Past recipients of the Guardian Award include both of Virginia’s U.S. Senators, John Warner and George Allen, as well as Congressman Tom Davis.

Frederick listened to the concerns of the residents and committed to them that he would be a fresh voice in Richmond when elected. Frederick also pledged that he would work to lower taxes, a promise not only important to the residents and their families, but one that is also a defining difference between Frederick and his opponent in the Republican primary on June 10.
