Thank you to everyone who voted Tuesday. Our democracy is dependent upon an engaged and informed electorate, and elections are at the core of our system of government.
To those that supported me, thank you for a solid and decisive victory, and for your confidence and trust in re-electing me to a third term in the House of Delegates. I'm honored by all the Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who supported our campaign, a bi-partisan coalition whom we could not have won without.
Also, we had a great team. I can't thank enough our campaign staff, tireless volunteers, generous contributors, my family, and our Lord. I pray that I will be a good steward of the responsibility I've been given.
My office will continue to work across party lines to get the job done to meaningfully address our challenges -- like better managing out-of-control growth; getting our transportation system into the 21st Century; ensuring our kids get the best education possible; reducing people's tax burden; and confronting the illegal immigration problem plaguing our community and Commonwealth.
I work for you, so please don't hesitate to call, email, or otherwise contact me if there's anything I can do to serve you better.
Thank you again for the opportunity to serve.
